Startup Website Cost in Dubai: What to Budget in 2026
What does a startup website cost in Dubai? We compared six 2026 price guides and mapped what to spend at each stage, plus the costs quotes leave out.

If you've asked three studios in Dubai to quote the same five-page website, you probably got three numbers that aren't even in the same ballpark. That's not you misreading the quotes. It's how this market works, and it's exactly why "what's a fair startup website cost in Dubai?" is so hard to answer straight.
So I did the boring part for you. I pulled six Dubai website pricing guides published or updated in 2026, lined up their numbers side by side, and mapped what an early-stage startup should actually spend at each stage. Here's the honest version.
Startup website cost in Dubai: the short answer
Most early-stage startups in Dubai should budget AED 3,000 to 8,000 for a single landing page and AED 8,000 to 25,000 for a 5 to 15 page marketing site from a small studio, based on 2026 agency price guides. Running costs add roughly AED 800 or more a year. Arabic, VAT, and maintenance come on top.
We compared six Dubai website price guides
Almost every Dubai agency has a "how much does a website cost" page. I read six that rank on Google right now, all published or updated in 2026, and pulled out what each says a basic business website costs.
| Source | Published or updated | Basic business website (AED) |
|---|---|---|
| Lucidly | March 2026 | From 1,200 |
| The Web Makers | September 2026 | 2,500 to 12,000 |
| Element8 | July 2026 | 3,500 to 8,000 |
| 2Marketing | January 2026 | 5,000 to 30,000 |
| Husbar | October 2026 | 8,000 to 25,000 |
| Digital Nexa | July 2026 | 15,000 to 25,000 |

Four things jumped out:
- The same type of website ranges from AED 1,200 to AED 30,000. That's a 25x spread for one category.
- Not one of the six puts a number on adding Arabic. Several say it costs more. None say how much. In a bilingual market, that's a big gap.
- Only three of the six price the running costs. The rest mention hosting and maintenance without a figure.
- None of them price by startup stage. They price by page count or company size, so a pre-seed founder and a 200-person company both end up reading the "corporate website" row.
My read: the spread isn't agencies being shady. They're quoting different products under the same name.
Why the same website gets wildly different quotes
When two quotes for "a 6-page website" are AED 15,000 apart, the difference almost always comes from these four things.
Template or custom design
A AED 1,200 site is nearly always a theme with your logo and colors swapped in. A AED 15,000 site should include custom design: layouts built around your offer and your buyer, not someone else's. Neither is wrong. Just know which one you're buying.
Who writes the words
Copy is the line item most often missing from cheaper quotes. If the agency says "you'll send us the content," congrats, you're now the copywriter. For a startup, the words on your homepage do more selling than any animation, so ask who owns them.
The platform
Webflow, WordPress, Framer, Shopify, or fully custom code all mean different build effort and different monthly fees. For most startup marketing sites, I'd pick a no-code platform your team can edit without calling a developer every time you change a headline.
What "done" includes
Revision rounds, mobile testing, basic on-page SEO, analytics setup, a handover session, and who owns the files at the end. Two quotes for the same page count can differ by half of that list.
What to spend at each startup stage
The smartest way to set a website budget is to tie it to your stage, not your ambition. Your positioning will change a lot between your first 10 customers and your first 100, and your website should be able to change with it.

Stage 1: Validating (AED 3,000 to 8,000)
You're pre-product or pre-revenue and testing whether anyone cares. You need one landing page with a sharp headline, a short explanation, some proof, and one clear action: join the waitlist, book a demo, or message you on WhatsApp. Expect 1 to 2 weeks.
Spending much more here usually means polishing a message that will change in three months.
Stage 2: Launching (AED 8,000 to 25,000)
Your product is live and you're chasing your first real customers, or getting ready to raise. Now you need 5 to 15 pages: home, product or features, pricing, about, contact, and maybe a blog. Expect 3 to 6 weeks.
This is where custom design starts to pay for itself, because investors and early customers judge your credibility in about the time it takes to scroll your homepage.
Stage 3: Scaling (AED 25,000 to 70,000+)
You've raised, you have a sales or marketing team, and the website is now a lead engine. That means a proper CMS, CRM and analytics integrations, and a system for spinning up campaign landing pages fast. Expect 6 weeks or more. Digital Nexa's 2026 guide puts corporate sites at AED 25,000 to 60,000 and lead generation sites at AED 30,000 to 70,000.
My honest take: if you're pre-seed and someone quotes you AED 40,000, you're probably paying for Stage 3 polish with Stage 1 information. That's also why the first step in our process at Natwic's web design and branding studio is a short brief on your goals and audience, before anyone starts counting pages.
The costs that never make it into the quote
The build fee is the number everyone compares. These are the ones that show up later.
| Cost | What to expect | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| .ae domain | AED 125 first year, AED 145 renewal | Excluding VAT, via AEserver. A .com is AED 49, then AED 65 |
| Website platform | About AED 660 a year | Webflow Basic is $15/month billed yearly |
| Maintenance or care plan | AED 200 to 1,500 a month | Per 2Marketing; Husbar quotes up to AED 3,000 |
| VAT | 5% | Only if your supplier is VAT-registered |
| Copy, photos, and illustration | Varies widely | Often excluded from the build price |
The platform fee comes straight from Webflow's pricing page, and domain prices are from AEserver's published price list. Your mileage will vary, but plan for roughly AED 800 a year before anyone touches the site again.
Don't forget VAT
UAE VAT is 5%, and a business has to register once its taxable supplies pass AED 375,000 a year, according to the UAE government's official VAT guidance. Most established agencies will add 5% to your invoice. A solo freelancer below the threshold may not.
So before you compare two quotes, ask one simple question: is this plus VAT? On a AED 20,000 build, that's AED 1,000 you didn't plan for.
What adding Arabic really costs
Since none of the six guides put a number on it, here's how to estimate it yourself.
- Translation. Published agency rates run about AED 0.30 to 0.40 per word (Lingo, 2024) or AED 150 to 300 per page (Kolonell, 2026). A 10-page startup site with around 4,000 words of copy lands somewhere around AED 1,500 to 3,000.
- Right-to-left (RTL) layout. Arabic reads right to left, so menus, icons, forms, and sliders need to be mirrored, not just right-aligned. Kolonell estimates RTL adds 20 to 35% to front-end work.
- Arabic typography. Free typefaces like IBM Plex Sans Arabic or Noto Kufi Arabic are perfectly solid for a startup. Licensed Arabic web fonts can run AED 2,000 to 10,000, per Kolonell.
- QA time. Every page now exists twice. Somebody has to check both versions on mobile.
Do you need Arabic on day one? If you sell to UAE consumers, government, or semi-government buyers, plan it from the very first wireframe, even if the Arabic version goes live a few weeks after English. If you're an English-first B2B SaaS, launch in English and add Arabic in Stage 2.
Either way, design for RTL from the start. Then adding Arabic later is a translation job, not a rebuild. And please skip machine translation for anything a customer will read.

FAQ
How much does a basic website cost in Dubai?
Across six 2026 price guides from Dubai agencies, a basic business website ranges from about AED 1,200 to AED 30,000. The low end is usually a template with your branding. From around AED 8,000, you can typically expect custom design from a small studio.
Is a AED 1,000 website worth it?
It can be, if you need something live this week and treat it as a placeholder. Just know you're buying a template, and you'll likely rebuild it once you have real customers and a clearer message. For a launch site that has to win trust, it's rarely enough.
How long does it take to build a startup website in Dubai?
A landing page usually takes 1 to 2 weeks, and a 5 to 15 page site takes about 3 to 6 weeks, based on 2026 Dubai agency guides. The real bottleneck is almost always content: copy, photos, and getting sign-off from co-founders.
Do web designers in Dubai charge VAT?
If they're VAT-registered, yes, at 5%. Registration is mandatory once a business passes AED 375,000 in taxable supplies a year, so most agencies charge it and some small freelancers don't. Always ask whether a quote includes VAT before you compare it.
Do I need an Arabic version of my startup website?
It depends on who buys from you. Consumer brands and anyone selling to government or semi-government buyers should plan for Arabic early. English-first B2B startups can launch in English and add Arabic later, as long as the design supports RTL from the start.
Getting your budget right
The right startup website cost in Dubai isn't the cheapest quote or the most expensive one. It's the one that matches your stage, spells out what's included, and leaves room for VAT, Arabic, and the running costs nobody mentions upfront.
If you're scoping a launch site and want a straight number, tell us what you're building or email hello@natwic.com. You'll get a reply within one working day, and you can browse the startup websites we've designed while you wait.
